I bought the Claire Pettibone Mystere gown. My gown is all white, including the flower on the back. Should I remove the flower or keep it? I like the idea of it – it’s so unique – but I worry that I will look silly.
Thank you 🙂

What is your wedding like? Is it rustic and romantic or modern and trendy? If it fits with your venue and overall theme I say keep it.

The venue is the George Peabody Library. I seem to have run away with flowers as the theme – they’re on my invites, covering the tables, and all the stationery/decor. I guess the theme would be “romantic”/”vintage” if I had to say.

I voted to remove the flower. Although it may be part of your over all theme, I think the details of the dress are so gorgeous, that the flower on the back takes away from the overall look of the dress. Just my opinion but go with what you LOVE you will be happier in the end!

I voted to keep it, because “I like the idea of it – it’s so unique”
It should be about what you like, not about what other people may think. Keep it. It is unique, and you like it.

I just looked up your venue and think it will look amazing. I vote for keep the flower. The initial reaction from many people may be no since it doesn’t fit into a lot of wedding but I think it fits with yours.

I voted wrong. I say ditch the flower!!!

Keep the flower! I think it’s awesome!

I like the flower I think it makes the dress pop and it will be something different and unique to your dress

I could have voted either way. I wish we could see how the dress looks without it vs. with. CP is my all time favorite designer! I know she has a couple of others with flowers like this on them (Larissa I believe does) which I normally like a lot. But with this dress I feel it could go either way. go with what you like. Not what others might think. 🙂 Beautiful dress.

I almost chose this dress for my wedding and my intention was to lose the flower. It is gorgeous and unique but my practical reason was that I thought it would detract from my figure, making my waist/hips look larger (ugh I know, so vain!). I thought the dress looked much more beautiful and flattering without it…but that’s my opinion. If you love it definitely keep it!

Do you have pictures of it on you? I feel like your shape would determine how the flower would look.

The flower is awesome and unique and everything but THERE? If I had to wear that dress… no, I would take the flower off and put it in the back of my hair!

I think the flower takes away from the dress. I say remove it! 🙂

ABSOLUTELY amazing dress! But I worry if the flower takes away from the dress. So I voted to remove it. Then again; dresses look very different on and you could make it look amazing! So if you feel you can rock it when you have it on; then keep it!
