I’ve had my ring since October, and my diamond has come loose three times already. The first time, it was right after being sized. They told me it was likely due to the heat process they use to do it and that the setting expanded a bit. They tightened it, no problems.
Two weeks ago, it was loose again, so I brought it in. They tightened it again and told me that if it happens again, I should consider having them put some sort of wire reinforcement on the inside of the mounting to help support the diamond. Well, it’s happened again and now I’ve just stopped wearing it in fear of loosing the stone.
Has anyone had any work like that done to their ring?? I can’t find a single thing online about it and don’t want to mess up my ring.
Here’s a picture of my ring (sorry—the collage is the only pic I have of it with me)…any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They should re-make your setting from scratch. It’s clearly weak, and probably getting weaker every time they try to mess with it. It’ll cost much less now than it will down the road if your diamond gets away.

My only concern is that it’s a verragio—so do I go through the company for that, or the jeweler that I bought it from??

I would speak to whoever sold you the mount and who mounted the stone.

@HappySky7: +1. Shortly after I got my ring, I had one pave stone that kept falling out. After the second time, my jeweler offered to exchange out my setting for one of comparable price if it happened again. I think you should go to see what your jeweler can do.

@Kdids520: Oh ps, we’re sort of ring twins. I hope they fix it for you.
