Calling all creative/crafty bees…so I am being Tentacruel for Halloween this year:
I have a blue hat, but don’t know how to do the red parts. Anyone have any ideas for what material/items I can use that would not require sewing?

Red tee shirt, then stuff pantyhose with quilting stuffig to make the tentacles? Paint eyes on the shirt with fabric paint, you could also cut out a blue tank over the red shirt for a better effect, safety pin the tenticals on the shirt or pants you are wearing

theatrejulia : Thanks for the suggestions…I already have most of the pieces to the costume, the only thing I’m stuck on is what to make the red part out of to put onto my hat (envision the blue top part as a hat) ?

Rubber bouncy balls. The ones they have in large wire bins in the toy section of target. I’d find a way to glue them into pockets in a cloth hat. Otherwise you could search craft stores for plastic half-spheres and paint them.

You could get those foam spheres that are cut in half, so its more dome shaped and paint it
