I need to turn in my wording to my invitation designer but I am at a loss on how to word it. With a jam packed guest list I can’t have a spot to fill in how many will be attending. How do I say it politely that I am only invited 2 people per invitation?

You indicate who has been invited by the names on the invitation. If you address it to John Smith, only John is invited. If its addressed to John and Jane Smith – their kids aren’t invited, etc.
If someone RSVP’s back for themselves and their four kids, you just have to call them, apologize for the “misunderstanding” and tell them that unfortunately, you can’t accommodate the additional guests but hope that they (the people actually invited) can still join you.
