I have gotten a few save the dates to semi-destination weddings that said ‘Please save the weekend of 10/15/2012 for x and y’s wedding’  it was actually really cute. The ony thing that was a little confusing was whether or not they meant friday as well, but they had a link to a wedding website with all the relevant information on it =)

@VegasSukie: ohh…yea, ‘please save the dates of x-x-x to x-x-x for Y and Z’s wedding celebration’ or if it’s less formal just ‘our’ wedding celebration.  Personally I’m using our names because I don’t want his family to get all embarressed that they can’t spell my name- at least this way they will have a little cheat sheet!

also having some kind of wedding website with a lot more detailed information will probably save you a few phone calls of question answering =)
