Themes are not mandatory. A color scheme can serve as a theme.

How about a “We’re getting married!” theme? That’s what I’m doing!

Yeah, I wondered a bit about themes, then figured they’re not mandatory at all (and it’s so much easier to just go with what you like without a specific theme!

One of the bloggers here said she struggled for a bit to find a theme, then looked around her lounge room for something that symbolised “them” and realised that there was no one theme that tied her and her partner together – it was their love of all different things that, combined together, worked really well.

I wouldn’t get too caught up in a theme, pick colors that are classic and romantic and then maybe use musical references through favors and stationary

@solosgirl:  You can totally do this! I’m a musician myself, and wish I had done a music themed wedding, but I ended up getting caught up in another dream. 🙂  Here are some photos:
