I need help! If our colors are blue and orange, and we have the bridesmaid’s dresses in blue, what should the groomsmen wear as far as a suit or tux? I’m not sure what color of suite/tux/vest/tie they should wear. I’m also wondering if I should use one more neutral color. I would really like to find a way to make these colors work since my favorite color is blue and his is orange. I was also thinking the bouquets should have different shades of orange and maybe one other color but not sure what. I dont want a really light or dark blue and I don’t want a really dark orange. Any suggestions would be great, even better if I saw pictures. Thanks!

Perchance are you both Gator fans? If so I’d add some of that..
Definitely a black suit with orange tie for him..blue tie for groomsmen. Let him set apart.
As far as bouquets? I’ll try to search one. I don’t know about orange..but blue hydrangeas and maybe some orange swaorvski crystals in them? You could have the handle wrapped in pale, creamsicle orange satin.

Personally I love your colors, and don’t think you need a neutral color.
Why don’t you have the groomsmen wear navy suits with possibly navy ties (or orange if you like). Have your fiance wear a nicely tailored navy suit with a blue tie that matches your bridesmaids so he looks "special." I personally prefer it when men wear things they own- it fits them perfectly and every man needs a basic suit. If you look on ebay you can get suits that generally cost thousands of dollars for 2-300 dollars.
You can also buy suits that are a lot cheaper… but I tend to like the sheen a more expensive suit gives off.
You could bring in the orange with the boutinierre’s.
I think this bouquet would be so lovely wrapped in a blue ribbon.

Also there are orange gerbera daisies! And some orangish colored roses. Orangey roses or the lovely flowers above and maybe some hydrangea around the outside with the blue ribbon would be gorgeous!

Here are a few other ideas:
I think tablecloths in this shade of blue and orange centerpieces would also look dynamite and modern at a reception.

Well, it doesn’t seem like you’re a gator fan (we’re obnoxious and you most likely would have mentioned it in the post :). If you wanted a neutral "other" color- you could definitely do a chocolate brown, which would look really pretty. Search http://www.theknot.com under there blue floral photos and you’ll see some really neat ones with the contrasting peachy orange with the bold blue flowers. Really neat! I love the blue dress/orange flowers and polka dot tie ideas from Maureen2004. So neat and pretty different!!

Not sure what kind of blue you meant. My colors were aqua blue and pale orange. My bridesmaids wore aqua and had white sashes (to resemble Tiffany’s boxes) with white roses. I had a white dress with different colored orange roses. The groomsmen wore aqua vests with their black tuxes and had white rose boutinnieres. My husband wore white and had a orange rose boutinnere. I would recommend using white to break things up as it goes well with any shade of blue and orange you’re using.

I love that pic Maureen posted, I have it saved on my fav pics.
Blue bridesmaid dresses with orange bouquets would be pretty.
I like the orange boutinere idea, I’m not a use fan of colored vests, but then again our wedding is uber traditional.

My colors are cobalt blue and orange. I have my bridesmaids in cobalt and I think my groom will wear a tan suit/tux with orange tie. Groomsmen will also wear tan suits.
