I’m doing my engagement pictures at a train museum that’s very old and antique looking and I plan on wearing something pin upish but I can’t seem to find anything figure flattering. If anyone has any recommendations that would be awesome!

Shabby Apple may have something that works.

Trashy Diva is the website where I bought my wedding dress… they might have something there.
Otherwise, Modcloth or Unique Vintage should have something!

@Lisandrag16: Ohhh girl. Pin up clothes are my FAVORITE.
Here are some websites to peruse.
It depends on your shape what will work best. I’m apple shaped (I have a tummy, and everything else is pretty small.) and I look best in defined waist dresses that flow out from the waist or a wrap dress. If you’re more hippy/flat stomached you can do something more tight like a pencil dress. Good luck!

@katie90: thanks! And me too I love pin up clothes although I don’t have much I have the looks though lol. My body is weird I’m 5’9 and have DD boobs and not much of a belly or not much legs.

As a vintage clothing collector…allow me to warn you:
1940s dresses look like total dumpy crap UNTIL you put them on. They don’t even look good on mannequins – but when you put them on…wow!
Oh, try Etsy and Ebay. Just search “Plus size Vintage dress” you’ll get tons of results. Usually etsy sellers are pretty awesome and allow returns if you don’t like the dress
Have you considered a 40s Skirt suit? especially at a train museum! omg! birdcage veil, red lipstick, little gloves! that would be awesome!

I was ogling this dress from Modcloth for my e-pics, but wasn’t brave enough to take the plunge! I think it would be perfect for your shoot though!

@Lisandrag16: If I could jump through the computer and slap you, I would 😛 Being big boobed and tall doesn’t mean your body is weird!!! It means you are statuesque and curvy, and I’m sure your fiancee isn’t complaining! Right?
Did you find a dress?!!

@lexismonkey: I like the skirt suit option I also like what is called a wiggle dress. And the cloves sounds like a good idea! Thanks for the advice. I’ll be going on ebay and etsy shortly

@katie90: you’re so funny lol. I like this one dress that is a military wiggle dress I like the idea of a sailor/military type of thing but I don’t want to look ridiculous.
