I have an I coloured marquise diamond and it always looks very white. I notice the diamond you purchased has strong fluoresence. I’ve heard that on a lower colour rated diamond that fluo actually helps it look more white as well, so I think you’ll be totally fine ๐Ÿ™‚

I think you can see some warmth from straight on, but it is a beautiful stone and it will look even better in the setting! I have a similar setting from JA and love it.

Your diamond looks flawless! Great pick. Beautiful setting too.
As others have said, don’t worry about the colour. Triple excellent will face up nice and bright.

walk_by_faith:  Hey!  So I love the entire style of the ring!  Dont worry too much about a J diamond.  Because it has a excellent cut and clarity and a strong flourecense, it will look a couple colors higher!  My diamond is a G color and looks like an F because it has a bit of a flourescense!  My fiance and I even looked at an I color when we were shopping and I could not tell at all.  I would definitely not go with a halo because those tend to clash with a more warm diamond, which you aren’t, so moot point. ๐Ÿ™‚  I think your ring will be beautiful and just for funzies, I am going to post my ring so you get an idea of the excellent cut and the fire a round brilliant throws!  Good luck!

A J won’t look yellow. It will look softer and warm, compared with the icy crispness of D color. It’s all about personal preference.
