I have an I coloured marquise diamond and it always looks very white. I notice the diamond you purchased has strong fluoresence. I’ve heard that on a lower colour rated diamond that fluo actually helps it look more white as well, so I think you’ll be totally fine ๐

I think you can see some warmth from straight on, but it is a beautiful stone and it will look even better in the setting! I have a similar setting from JA and love it.

As others have said, don’t worry about the colour. Triple excellent will face up nice and bright.

1.25ct GIA triple excellent cut VVS2 J diamond on a size 5.5
(im actually closer to a 5 though, may be going down to a 5.25) with a thin pave band! got engaged a couple days ago ๐ SO happy I went with a J! Sparkles like razy and is totally white.

A J won’t look yellow. It will look softer and warm, compared with the icy crispness of D color. It’s all about personal preference.
