Our original plan was to go to orlando fl for a couple days go to universal & then leave for a cruise for 4 days but…. I have seen some amazing islands I’d love to go to! We need something all-inclusive & would like an adults only place since we have two kids & want to get away from kids for a week. We can’t spend over $4000 and that includes spendng money, flight, resort, excursion & any other fees.
I could really use your advice bees! If you know of a place please give me details of a website, how to get the price you got b/c I’ve never been out of the states so…. have no clue on planning a vacation like this! Thanks so much!

Check out cheapcaribbean.com. They usually have some great deals. I would look at Jamaica, Dominican Republic or Mexico since they tend to be less expensive. We went to Sandals Whitehouse in Jamaica last year for about $3k for a week.

Did sandals include airfare?

Definetly good choice on going to a resort rather than a cruise for your honeymoon. Cruises are awesome, but on your honeymoon you want a bit more seclusion and romance .
Couples resorts are typically more expensive than regular ones. Sandals resorts are quite expensive, so you might not want to go there. I would suggest Mexico or Jamaica. In my search for my honeymoon, I found those two countries to be the most fairly priced. A way to save money believe it or not is to go ALL-Inclusive. It might seem like a lot of money when you are booking it, but food outside of the hotel is VERY expensive in touristy places. Also, if you want to save money, consider not booking the excursions in advance. When you get the resort, they’ll charge you about half price. I know this from experience.

Do you know of any specific resorts I can look into? We are trying to do this as inexpensive as possible. We just had to buy a car, our a/c went out, I’m a single mom with two kids until we are married & money is so tight! We have no one helping us finacially for the wedding so any info on specific resorts would be awesome!

We just got back from the Majestic Elegance in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It was gorgeous! We stayed for 7 nights, all inclusive, in the Elegance Club (adults only) section of the resort, including airfaire from Los Angeles for around $4000 (and ours was an upgraded suite, there were other rooms that were much less). We had such a great time, I would recommend the resort to anyone.
