I had an 8 foot long table covered in a white table cloth.  Along the right side I made a runner that ran front to back out of a black and silver damask pattern.  On top of this sat my signing frame.  Along the back of the table were three white footed glasses with one green hydrangea in each spread out evenly, and mixed in with lots of votives.  I had luminaires spelling out our new last name to the left & in front of them were all of our escort cards.  It was beautiful 🙂  If I had extra $$ I would have constructed a backdrop to match, but no one noticed.

@Kanebaby: yeppers – escort cards are kinda like this:

and yes they have the name and table number on them – the guest picks them up and goes to find their table.

you can also do table setting board:

where you just have the board posted with the names listed and they just remember what the table is and go find it.

if folks have a different meal (chicken vs. beef) you might have to do the escort cards though. but the board works well with things like buffets or when everyone eats the same thing.

add another centerpiece, photos, candy in dishes (who wouldn’t like that? lol), candles…. flower petals….  little knick-knack stuff that fits your theme or color scheme…

be creative!  go in a store and look at stuff and an idea will probably pop out!  🙂

good luck!!!
