My fiance and I just hired a classical guitarist to play at our wedding! Yay!! I’m looking for a recessional song, something upbeat and maybe something popular and well known (can be cutesy!) the only thing I have right now is 8 days a week by the Beatles. I want something that could be recognizable just by the guitar – no lyrics needed. Thanks!!!

we recessed to "Here Comes the Sun" by the Beatles. On acoustic guitar!

We’re having a guitarist too! He’s playing "The Wedding Song (There is Love)" and Tom Petty’s "Wildflowers" while the guests are being seated. Pachelbel’s "Canon in D" for the processional. And Vivaldi Spring for the recessional. If a guitarist has enough time he can usually find the music for just about any song you want. I’d pick a few that have meaning to you guys and ask if they’re possible. Can’t hurt to ask! If he says no, ask for recommendations from him of his favorites and what he’s done for other weddings. Good luck!

We’ve picked out Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring, Air on a G String, and one of the Preludes by Bach for the prelude and postlude, Vivaldi’s Winter and Canon in D for the Processional, and are toying with the couple Beatles songs for the recessional.
