My Darling Husband has a lump of pure platinum originally intended for his wedding band. (it’s a long story and not the point of the post) Yesterday was my birthday and he offered me the platinum to have any piece of jewellery I want custom made. I’m also allowed to add (small) diamonds if I want. Wow!
So bees, please inspire me. So far I’m leaning towards either diamond earrings or an eternity type ring to stack with my plain wedding band and solitaire ring but am open to any other suggestions too. Ideally it will be something pretty simple to not outshine my rings and that I could wear pretty much every day without feeling overdressed.

I would get a necklace made! You can wear it everyday and it would be its own piece-not competing with anything else 🙂

Wow! What a generous guy..lucky you! I have 3 eternity bands none of which are platinum but they are white gold..I have two diamond full eternity bands that are about .8 carats each, 1.8mm wide and a light pink sapphire eternity band I wear in between the diamond bands that is .3 carats 1.5mm..I wear these on my right hand ring finger.

If I had the opportunity to do that..I would have a band made with lots of pretty floral engravings and some small diamonds.

mrssloan2013: Your rings are gorgeous. I’ve never tried on an eternity band, I feel like the stones would dig in my fingers. My bands are so thin that when I put my fingers together I can’t feel them.
I’m also kind of thinking that I’d rather another ring on a wedding anniversary rather than just birthday so I’m looking at earrings again now. My wedding band is octagonal and I found a beautiful pair of Tiffany earrings that are similar. I’ve sent some pics to Darling Husband and now waiting to see what he comes up with.
Yes, v generous but he already has the platinum sitting there and he doesn’t know what else to do with it!
