@MissEimaj:  Hello! I’m in the same situation and having a hard time finding any sort of Korean cultural entertainment. Have you found anything yet?

@MissEimaj:  I haven’t found anything yet either, and the ones I did find don’t even do weddings. My fiance did try to contact the Korean cultural centre, but they weren’t very forth coming in regards to details. Try them, if you haven’t already. Maybe you’ll have better luck. I’m still trying, and will keep ya posted. Please do the same.

Thanks!

I went to a wedding in Vaughan/Thornhill a few years ago, and they had a Korean traditional fan dance troup do a performance during the reception. It was lovely! I wish I knew the name of the group.

There’s a Korean traditional drumming group that I’ve seen perform a few times – at the Sony Centre in North York, and somewhere else, I can’t remember now. They are called Jeng Yi and are quite good. http://www.jengyi.com/

Are you planning a Pae Baek ceremony? I’m still looking for a vendor who will do it, or rent the wedding hanboks.

I haven’t found anything yet either.

I did try contacting Jenyi several months ago, a friend had referred me to them…but unfortunately, they don’t do weddings!

We are planning a Pae Baek ceremony, and will probably use the same vendor my fiance’s sister had used. I’ll post the vendor name when I find out.

The fan dance sounds good! Please see if you can find out the name of that group!
