@kris325:  Have you ever used carbon paper to trace things? After you have painted the jars you can trace a design on with carbon paper and then paint it.

For example: I made this canvas the same way. I printed out the words from the computer, put the carbon paper underneath the words, traced them, and then painted them! It leaves a nice dark tracing that you would be able to see on the jars.

The first trasfer method on the page is similar to what you would do. (Except you are transferring an image onto a jar)

Here is a link to an example of what carbon paper is like:

You should be able to buy it fairly cheaply from your local craft store!

Im using mason jars for my centerpeice as well.
I WANTED the antique blue mason jars, but theyre expensive and my DIY projects to color them didnt work so well lol.

So I added a lace around the jar then tied hemp around them. and added blue balls lol πŸ™‚

Maybe you could do something similar. Wrap the jars in a wide strip of hemp or burlap and stuff about 2-3 feathers around the bow? That could be cute πŸ™‚

You could just fill them up with lemons, limes, or oranges! Like this with or without added flowers:

or you could add lace and a candle for a vintage, romantic feel

or put old pictures in mason jars of family
