It would be easier to make suggestions if we knew what kind of reception you are planning. Are you having a formal, plated dinner reception, or something more casual?

Agree with the other poster but if you just want to see menus… I have my “shell” not the exacts yet as the tasting will be closer to the wedding. Just so you know I chose a combo entree to avoid the entree choice which normally slows service. And we were going to have a soup but the caterer told us it probably wouldn’t be wise that on a hot summer day the first thing guests are greated with is piping hot soup….


Formal Plated Dinner (Canadian Style) with Portuguese and Lebanese Midnight Seafood/Sweets

Bar Open from 5pm – 1am

Hor’derves during cocktail hour

Dual Pasta plate (Same noodle, 1 cream sauce, 1 red sauce, choice of both or one)


Combination Entree: Chicken and Salmon with Veggies and Potatoes or Rice (undecided)

Plated Dessert – Most likely a crepe wrapped around icecream with berries drizzled overtop

Coffee/Tea with Dessert

at 11pm (ish) the cake is cut and the Midnight Seafood/Sweets table opens. Complete with Bitlava (Lebanese Baklava), Baby Lobsters, 2 ice sculptures (1 a bowl for strawberries) 4+ cakes, crab, shrimp and cod crockets, and Assorted Fruit.

Coffee/Tea is again avaliable during the sweets table being opened
