How do you ladies recoup your motivation when it seems to be lacking?
A bit of background: yes, I have been diagnosed with depression, so part of my lack of motivation comes from that, but even so… I used to be so happy prepping things for the wedding and right now I’m definitely in a lull. I’m also in school and finals are coming up and I need to be studying, but bringing myself to open the book and read is really difficult, especially when it comes to pharmacy law. The books they give us to read are awful and don’t make any sense to me. I need someone to seriously slap me in the face and tell me to get on with it already. Any advice? What have you ladies found to be helpful? Anyone else experiencing this?

GET OUT OF YOUR HOUSE.
I’m studying Pharmacology and Neuroscience. Good God those books can be AWFUL.
I have to LEAVE my house. I need to leave my phone at home, leave my laptop at home, and go hide in a library. Once you get past the first half hour of sitting in silence and hating yourself, it tends to pass.
And study early. Get up and leave and promise yourself
“K. I’m studying for X amountof hours and I’m not leaving until I finish that. And once I’m done, I’m leaving this unholy library/study place and NOT coming back and NOT reading for the rest of the day.”

I agree with the future Mrs.. I would get out of the house and go somewhere public – that’s how i used to study for my exams. AT home, i had no motivation and i kept staring at the ceilling, with no willpower. Then i decided to arrend the university library . i was the first to arrive and the last to leave and the fact that i was surrounded by other students doing the same thing as me, did help. Good luck!

Oh I absolutely can not study at home. Sometimes I even used to go and sit in my friends classes just so I was forced to be quiet and concentrate.
Definitely make sure you’re having enough scheduled breaks though… If you reward yourself regularly it will make studying less of a chore!
Good luck 🙂

These all sound like excellent suggestions, ladies! I have the whole day off tomorrow, so maybe Fiance and I will have to drag our sorry backsides to the library for a change. Thank you so much!
