So my ideal, dream honeymoon would be to go to Rome but unfortunately due to outrageous airfare prices that just isn’t really an option. Fiance and I don’t particularly want to do the typically beach honeymoon, as we don’t like laying out the the sun and heat all day. Like I said I would love to go to Europe so if I can find somewhere that is similar (in culture, history, etc) that is cheaper airfare that would be perfect! We also wouldn’t mind going on an “adventure” type honeymoon.
Anyone have any ideas?

Taos or Albequerque would be lovely in October -still summery.
Quebec City in Canada is said to be very European feeling.

We just got back from Hawaii and it was amazing. You can do the typical beach thing, or, like we did, lots of cultural and adventure-type things. It’s also not the tourist season so things are not as expensive as they would have been otherwise.

@sienna76: this is true, quebec city and montreal both have a lot of culture and charm.

@IzzyBear: what about South America? And the Mayan ruins? Y’all could even check out some rain forests! We’re planning on st lucia, and staying at 1 of the sandals to “play at all three” of their st lucian resorts:) I’m excited about the culture, volcanos, rain forests, and beaches:) we wanted to go to Hawaii for the same characteristics but the airfare is a little more expensive, an we can’t find anything all inclusive there. So I thin. That’s what we’re set on:)

@Whitwhit1689: I guess I should have posted an update because we decided on our honeymoon. I looked at St. Lucia, Belize, all those places and we just decided we didn’t want to spend a lot of money right now. We both want to travel and go all over Europe but 1 week just isn’t a long enough time to really enjoy some of the places we wanted to go. And I’m really hoping airfare will come down eventually because $1,000/per person on plane tickets makes me want to kill someone. Here’s a link to the post I made about our honeymoon.
