So I’ve taken up the wonderful hobby of stamping . I thought it would help make our envelopes stand out since I selected my save the dates through Vistaprint. I think I paid 11.37 for 100 STD’s and envelopes (great deal). My concern is that they may end up looking to “home-made”. What do you think? I really like stamping. I think it is personal, not “home-made,” “cheap,” etc. However, I have yet to do it. I attempted to find a website where I could get customized stamps, but couldn’t find a thing! do you recommend a site?

I think the stamp looks great. If you want to make it look a little bit nicer, you can emboss the stamp! I love embossing and it is really simple. One of the bees blogged about it. I’m sure it’d be easy to look up!

I second the embossing, it dresses any stamp right up- I’m addicted to it!

I love the stamp! My BFF stamped her thank you cards and they turned out great!! I don’t think they look homemade, it gives it a personal touch!

I don’t think the stamp makes it look homemade at all! I think it looks great 🙂 I’ve never tried embossing, but if you’re up for the challenge- I say go for it! There are some great tutorials around the hive!

Thank you everyone :). I think I’ll give the embossing at try.
To GI Josephine: I actually went to the local Michael’s craft store and purchased two stamps to make the one in the front. I would say that if you need a site I would recommend google search “rubber stamps”. It’s pretty infinite what you can find through them. Good luck.
