I guess that is the issue, I asked for beads and these are humps and not clean looking like what I have seen on other rings and they are different sizes.
I didn’t actually order from that site but that was the best image of the detail. I purchased the ring for a different jeweler and was told it could hold up to 1.25ct. It is actually only up to 1ct. I went in knowing that it would need a custom design with great detail. The store has offered to fix it but I feel the same as you in that if they think this is good then I don’t really wanted them touching it again. They do have two jeweler at this store so I was hoping that I got the bad one and not the one that everyone had recommended.
Thank you! I didn’t actually order it from JA, I got it from a local place and had the stone set at the highest recommended jeweler because I knew it was very delicate and detailed.
Exactly! You see and put into words much better than I did. You are seeing the photos perfectly! It was hard to capture the tilt and gap.

You’re not over reacting. It’s not perfect. The stone is too large for the setting. If it’s a simulant, can you return it for a 1 carat equivalent? Otherwise you may have to get a new setting all together. Another idea is to replace the head of the setting. Unfortunately any changes will impact the visual appearance. It is a beautiful setting.
