Hi everyone! I’ve never posted before but have a question and am hoping you guys can give me your opinions. I’ve spent A LOT of time making runners for the reception tables and also mason jars full of pinwheels. I had intended to use them together, but when I did my trial table this weekend, I wasn’t entirely happy with the way they looked together. One of the problems is that the flowers I used for my trial were yellow rather than white like the ones I will be having are, but the other problem is that I fear that the pinwheels and the runners are a little too busy together. I refuse to not use the pinwheels somewhere (and am sure I can find a place to put them, but they may not be showcased as well as they would be on the tables.) Our wedding is on July 4th and it is going to be very small and informal . . . about 50 people at a local park with dinner inside the park’s conference center. I was hoping the pinwheels would give off a fun, festive vibe inside the room where the dinner will be which is a bit drab.
I’ve attached pictures with and without pinwheels. Thanks for your advice!

Are the pinwheels just for decoration or are they intended to be favors? I like the way the table looks w/out the pinwheels , but if they are favors I say leave them on the table. It might help to have the centerpieces a little higher and also the white flowers will definitely “pop” against the blue.

I love the idea of pinwheels, especially for the 4th, but I think the table looks a little busy with two bunches of them plus the centerpieces…. it’s almost like having three centerpieces. Could you tuck one pinwheel into each napkin ring so each guest gets one, without having the pinwheels and the centerpieces/runners competing with each other?

LOVE the idea of tucking them into the napkin rings! I think they definitely look great on the table, but the second photo looks a bit busy.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was thinking that might be a possibiity myself. . . might as well try it and see how it goes! My fiance really likes the pinwheels so I think he’ll be sad if they don’t make their way onto the tables.
