MissKristi:  I am going to be honest here but I went to a wedding that had these and as a guest hated it. It wasn’t conversation that was a problem but seeing the events. It is particularly bad if you are on a table at the back of the room and especially for standing things like toasts. Visually they look amazing but functionally for guests they suck.

j_jaye:  Thanks- I appreciate that. I know there’s been a ton of things I’ve thought were great ideas that practically were terrible (speeches in between courses so guests didn’t have to sit there after dinner). We have a juliette balcony that we will have guests use for speeches but I’ve never seen anyone do this before so I’m a little nervous.

I love these. I’m a sucker for tall centerpieces. I am doing something similar on a few tables and they will be on top of stands so even taller. I have heard this arguement before and I honesstly don’t think its that big of a deal. Do what you want. They are beautiful!

Keep em! They look great, and if the tables are big enough to fit 9, they’d be too big for pepole to converse across the table anyways without yelling, people will chat more with those nearby regardless of the height of your centre pieces!

KEEP THEM. They look amazing and I am doing the very similar centerpieces!!

That being said, I just attended a wedding that did not have tall centerpieces, and no one talked across the table. LOL

MrsDamiani:  That’s one of the first submerged centerpieces I’ve liked. They’re typically not my style, but I love yours! Keep!!!
