I’ve been a lurker on weddingbee and btd forum for a LONG time and finally decided to join and post a question 🙂 i’d like to firstly thank the members on here for I did not know anything about rings, settings and stones before discovering this board. You’ve all been very helpful so thank you 🙂
I’ve been engaged without a ring for almost a year and now it’s time to stop looking and take the plunge!!! Me and Fiance have decided on the ENG132 from moissaniteco which is also called Riviera on Ashadiamonds website. here is a link:
I’ve gone back and forth with so many settings but this is definirely the one!
Wa are going to be setting it in palladium with a 5mm Amora moissanite (ring size 4.75). I love the look and sparkle of moissanite and although I would also love a diamond, it is WAY out of our budget and any sparkly stone that is a forever stone is good enough for me 🙂 now I need your help!! The ring has an option of a matching band to make the set, although we are not getting married till next year, I would love to start considering bands and maybe even start buying!! But I can’t help but think a straight band will look just as nice and enable me to wear it alone on the days I’m using my hands a lot.
What do you guys think? Any links or pictures would be really helpful !

I love love love that ring! I have a friend with the infinity type band as her wedding ring and its just beautiful. I think a straight band would be really pretty with it and could be worn alone. If you think you’d ever want to wear it alone, go with that one.

+1 on the straight band idea!
Plain or with stones would look fine. LOVE the twist shank design!

hmm always a tough decision. I personally prefer the straight band look and i dont mind the gap. I would need to get a custom wedding band to fit my ring and i just dont have any interest in that so i’m getting a straight wedding band. If you wanted you could get the matching band and if you decide you want a plain band get it later? They aren’t expensive if they dont have gems or diamonds.

That ring is stunning. I would go with the matching wedding band due to the unusual shape of the engagement ring.

I think it all just boils down to whether or not you like your rings to have a gap between them. Personally, I love the gap, and would go with the straight band. But if you want them to be cozy and match, go with the matching band.

personally, i wouldn’t mind the gap and would go with the straight eternity band, but that’s just me!

Straight band. If it they were offering an infinity style band to match (like the body of the ering) then I’d say yes, but I don’t like that contour style band.

Thanks for all your replies!! after looking at lots of bands, I’ve decided to rock the little gaps and get a slim diamond eternity band…will post pics whenever I get the ring(s) and so excited to see what e-ring will look like IRL!!

I tried a ring on over the weekend that was almost identical to this. It looked amazing with a straight eternity band. Plus, you’ll probably love having the option to wear the band on its own.

This is the set I want when we upgrade in a few years. I would go with the matching band.

I forget who it is, but there’s a bee who has a set that looks just like this. She has the straight wedding band and got it soldiered to the e-ring and it is GORGEOUS. The gap looks perfect. I say go for the straight band!!
