I need some opinons on our groomsmens’ suit colours. We are going to have the bridesmaids in mismatched navy dresses similar to this:
And I was thinking of having the groomsmen in some shade of grey with navy ties. Indochino is having a sale on their custom made suits and we were considering getting one made for my Fiance (we ordered one in the past and really liked how it turned out. http://www.indochino.com/collection/Suits ). That would mean that its unlikely that we would find suits for his groomsmen that would match FI’s suit exactly.
I know sometimes people have the groom in a different shade than his groomsmen. I was thinking darker grey for the groom and lighter for his groomsmen, all with navy ties. Do you think that would look too busy with the mismatched bridesmaid dresses? If so, we might skip the custom suit and just rent for all of them.

I don’t think it’s too busy and that might be what we’re doing as well. My BMs (and 1 Bridesman) are all going to be wearing mismatched outfits in shades of green. But the GMs all want to “match” exactly I guess *rolls eyes* lol, they’re gonna have to get over that.

These are exactly my wedding colors!! We are putting my fiance in a charcoal suit with the groomsmen in a gray one shade lighter. The reasoning behind this was explained to me by the suit consultant: He said that the BMs will be in a darker color (navy) and the lighter suits will really contrast and “pop” for pictures. Me and the fiance are similar in the fact that I am wearing a white dress that will “pop” with the darker suit. Plus, it makes us the focal point of the pictures with all the attendants which “frames” you as the new couple.

I always like it when the groom is in different colors because it makes it a bit more obvious who the groom is. I mean the bride is always obvious, so why shouldnt the groom?
