Thanks for the encouragement! I am going for my first fitting soon (hopefully next week or so) I will follow up with a picture, maybe with a belt, and see what you guys think!
serendipity24: Thanks for the compliment! I agree with you as far as the belt goes. The top already has quite a bit of beading, so I am worried about it clashing. I will have to be very careful when choosing. If not, I now feel better (Thanks to you all) about leaving the waist the way it is, if need be.

Gorgeous dress!!! So stunning. I would make the belt not as thick if possible and throw some rhinestones on it!! The straps make the dress! And also the back is beautiful!

I love everything about that dress!!! And you look so skinny in it! I would do an elbow length veil or a chapel length viel!

I relaly like the sash as is. the only critique is getting it sized correctly.

Your dress is beautiful on you!! THe strapps are fabulous, so different than everyone elses dress these days, and very roomantic! Yes I agree with other bees, just put on a thin rhinestone belt, infact I would just take it to a bridal shop and try on different things with it and have fun, you’ll know when you see it:)

Looks AMAZING and you totally have the body to pull it off. I’d tighten up the straps, though…and since it’s impossible to wear a bra and the corset things are uncomfortable, you might try getting those stick-on boobie things to enhance cleavage. I like the ribbed waistband but if you want something simpler try getting a simple sash to go right over that one. I’m sure it can be sewn on and the dress can look exactly like you pictured.
No regrets–you look gorgeous!

I love you ladies. You are seriosly so sweet and make me feel so much better! I called to set up my first fitting, and unfortunately the shop that is supposed to do it is giving me a hard time, so i had a mini-melt down! i called months ago to see if they would be able to do my alterations even though i didnt end up getting my dress there. the owner, so sweet, told me that she would be happy to, and to call in april. Well, i called friday and talked to an employee who told me that they are really busy right now and can’t get me in until after prom season, at the beginning of May. That makes me a little nervous, but I was okay with it. Then she proceeded to ask if i got my dress at their shop. I told her no, but i really liked the service there and would like to get my alterations done there still. She said, well obviously you didnt like us that much (since i didnt buy my dress there). I told her i got my dress somewhere else because they didnt carry it. She then went on to say that she would have to check with the owner to see if she could even DO the alterations since i didnt buy my dress there. I told her to let me know ASAP and she still hasnt called me back!
UGH sorry to vent, but what do you guys think i should do?! try to contact the owner or not even bother with this shop anymore?
Why do I feel like service is horrible everywhere?! Like, this is an important event, and i feel like a tiny bit of ass-kissing would be nice! Im sorry, just frustrated!
