Bacon wrapped chicken bites.  We do ours with salt, pepper, garlic powder, paprika and a dash of chili powder on the chicken (bite size cuts).  Then wrap in a small slice of bacon and sautee.  We usually make a chipotle aoili for dipping(chipotle sauce can and mayo).

Homemade pizza? You can buy ready-made pizza crusts that come in those cool tubes that pop (in the refrigerated section) or just the regular, non-refrigerated crusts. You could do pesto pizza, pizza margherita with mozzarella and basil, or whatever toppings you want.

bacon wrapped cocktail smokies…..

wrap each individual cocktail smokie with a piece of bacon, secure with a toothpick. Sprinkle with brown sugar and bake until bacon is crispy (about 30-45 minutes depending on your oven)

Everyone loves these!

@JenniRae- Bacon wrapped pizza sounds good for me!!!

Or- make perogies (now that I’m thinking of Bacon and all), sauteed onions and bacon with perogies, always a hit at office potlucks!

@JeniRae – that’s hilarious. I bet there is such a thing out there, somewhere. I’ve also had bacon-wrapped scallops and bacon-wrapped artichokes, both were really good.

something that I love to make for people because they seem to love to eat them and they are easy are stuffed mushrooms.

I use this killer easy recipe that is full proof

  – mushroom caps

  – a thing of jimmy dean sausage or whatever brand (yes a thing) hehe

-and the box of cream cheese (not sure the size, its the standard one

all you do is cook the sausage mix it with the cream cheese and throw in some of the mushrooms chopped stems and stuff them in the mushrooms and throw them in the oven at 350 until the mushrooms are cooked (about 20 min or so) and for extra deliciousness throw some garlic seasoning on top  yum yum yum

You guys are making my tummy grumble. We’re hosting NYE too, and although we’re not cooking but going out for Sushi with our friends, we are hosting a Kid-ling (that’s what I call our nephew) So just in case anyone wanted a drink recipe…. I know that wasn’t what was asked for but I really just don’t have any good hot dish recipes.

Kid’s Pink Champagne:Sprite + Grenadine

Blushing Champagne:Champ+ Grenadine

Thus we all look like we’re drinking Pink Champ! :o) It’s delicious. But good luck on finding a hot dish! :o)
