I just went to San Diego for my bachelorette party. We stayed at the Manchester Grand Hyatt. It’s a really nice hotel (not sure what your budget is) and right by Seaport village which is a nice area to walk around. It’s also maybe a 10 minute walk to Gas Lamp district which is tons of fun.

Monkey 786″s hotel is a good choice…

Also like the US Grant. It is right across the street from Horton Plaza.

Check out the LaValencia in La Jolla. It is a bit of a drive to the zoo but right on the cliffs of one of the most beautiful beaches in the area.  Or the Hotel del Coronado. It’s right on the beach too.  A PP mentioned the Manchester Grand Hyatt…it is beautiful and right in the heart of the Gaslamp where a ton of great bars and restaurants are.  You’ll have a great time.

Torrey Pines and Del Mar are spectacular! I used to live there, and we got married in La Jolla (also beautiful, but really expensive, and kind of yuppy-ish – you’ll like the laid back vibe of Torrey Pines and Del Mar better!)
