I couldn’t really get through that whole post, but I will say this:

Some people swear their CZs lasted them a lifetime. Me personally, I have never owned a CZ that didn’t get cloudy after a year of daily use. CZ is very porous which means it absorbs dirt, oil from your hands, and everything else. That’s why it clouds.

But you know what, I had a CZ ring when I first got married! My husband and I both agreed that when we could afford it we’d buy the ring I always wanted (sapphire). We did, and I have no regrets.

Can I suggest looking into getting a small moissanite? They are extremely affordable and will not cloud. They can last you a lifetime.

first, welcome to the hive!

second, if you love the CZ ring, then get the CZ ring.  it’s true that it may not wear as well as a diamond would, but you can always switch out the CZ down the road and replace it with either an other CZ or a diamond.  that way, you would still have the sentimentality of the original setting and ring that your soon-to-be Fiance proposed with, but you could repair any damage to the ring

i wouldnt let other peoples opinions of a CZ get you down, or bother you at all – the ring is a symbol of your love for each other, and you shouldnt feel that you have to want or get a certain ring because of that.  i think its beautiful that you have gone looking for rings, and you have found one that symbolizes your love – thats all that is important.

Opps, ignore the link to moissaniteco.com then. I understand 100% I wanted one at first too, but was to nervous to buy it online without seeing it in person.
