I am sure the flatware would be enough, but if you wanted to add a gift card to that and a small gift for the child, that would be a very nice added touch, and I know they would appreciate it.

You seem like a very caring person, so I am sure you won’t come off either show-offy or cheapy. The other guests aren’t going to know what you give them, so I would try not to let it worry you.

I think that sounds fine. Maybe you can get them a gift card to a resturaunt.

So I vote for options 1 and 3.

I don’t think it is too much at all. It is wonderful that you are also including their child.

If I were you I would give them cash/a cheque/a gift card to somewhere they can buy flatware with a note saying “Hope this helps you find the perfect flatware!” signed you and your date.  You can skip the gift for the child though.  Just my opinion.

I think the gift cards are great. You can easily find pretty gift-card holders at places like Target, Hallmark, etc. I love those because they make it feel like a gift you can unwrap!

Gift cards are perfect.  That way they can select what they want.
