Well, it’s only a good deal if you’re having a larger reception and expect that many guests. If you are looking for a large venue you like, that comes out to be less than 50 dollars per person for the meal + venue + some decorations? That sounds like a great deal to me, assuming that includes meals for 150.

i think for 150 guests that’s great.  i spent almost that much on my reception and i only had 38 guests.

Our venue in Sydney is $55 per head for food & minimum 100 ppl for exclusive use so $5500. Not including any decorations and alcohol on top of that. We will only be having 73 guests but still think its a good deal – most venues nearby were a minimum spend of at least $10000!

We invited 110 ppl and getting 71 as most of our guests are travelling also. If you only invite 150 then its fair to expect a few less. Might be worth writing up expected guest list to see if you hit the 150+ mark. If u really love the place though, it may be worth paying extra for. As long as it ticks all the boxes, right?
