Going for my dress fitting tomorrow after having major alterations done to my gown and I’m not excited. Still feeling down on myself for not losing ANY weight for the wedding and infact I’ve gained some. All I can think about is my double chin and fat arms. Ugh. I just keep thinking about how the pictures are going to be so horrible that I’m not going to want to show them to anyone.
Just want to hear from some other plus size girls out there that felt or feel the same way I do. 🙂

please don’t feel bad! 🙂 If you do… imagine being 8 months preggo and plus size! lol and trying on dresses…. that was me in January… and I bought a smaller size because in my preggo brain I was going to lose all this weight… while I lost almost 40lbs…. its not enough to get my fat arse into the dress i bought LOL thank god it was a sample and only cost me $148 LOL NEVER go dress shopping while preggo… EVER! lol

Don’t beat yourself up sweetie. You’re loved! You have someone who loves you so much they want to spend the rest of their life with you!
We all have our issues and things we hate about ourself. What’s sad is that that seems to be all we can see…even when we’re about to try on that most magical of dresses for our most beautiful of days.
You’re under alot of stress, so go easy on youself and when you feel yourself slipping or getting down about your appearance think of FI’s awesome face, what he loves about you…or his wobbly bits (because YOU KNOW HE HAS THEM TOO!) lol

Thanks girls!! You’re all so encouraging!!
kermie you make me laugh! You’re so right with all you said. Thank you so much, that was just what I needed. I’ll totally think of his wobbly bits and how lucky I am to have someone that loves me the way that I am. 🙂

GIRL DONT BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER IT!!!! TRUST ME!!! i just had my final fitting last night and let me tell you, i looked beautiful and wasnt dissapointed at allllllllllllll. I havent lost any weight, im still the same as when i bought the dress last year and i couldnt be happier. You have to love yourself and not think about the alterations. YOU BUY THE DRESS TO FIT YOU, NOT FOR YOU TO FIT IN THE DRESS! REMEMBER THAT. i have struggled with weight for a while and my fiance loves me just the way i am, of course we could all afford to lose a little weight, but you need to be positive and just think about how beautiful you are gonna look with your hair and makeup done and how your fiance will probably cry seeing you so beautiful. Congratulations girl!!! its your day!!!!

Hey honey I feel you! I bought my gown back in October when I was still nursing and thought by the time it came in, it would fit me. Well, it didn’t. There is a gap where the corsett panel is supposed to snap and won’t reach, talk about dissapointing. That was three weeks ago, and that was enough for me to get my big old rear end to the gym, and I ‘ve lost 4 pounds since. I hope it’s enough to do the trick at my next fitting. Don’t feel bad about yourself, your fiance loves you!!!!Curves and all! and at least your dress fits
