How about a nice backdrop?  Maybe a bamboo or other material chupplah or whatever they call them, draped with organza and greenery and flowers.. We have the same problem for my daughters ceremony which is being held in a banquet room at a local hotel.

We found these http://www.save-on-crafts.com/ironstand.html  to put on both sides of the aisles in an off white, which we are going to spray paint, because we don’t like the color.  Then we are putting kissing balls on the top and tulle either draped down from one to the  other or maybe bows on each one made out of tulle.

We are using a outdoor room divider like this for our backdrop.  And we’re going to spray it the same off white. And decorate with ivy’s and flowers.

I hope this helps some.  A church is so much easier but that wasn’t an option for us being that they wanted so much since the wedding isn’t in our hometown and we weren’t members at the churches there.

Honestly that is such a beautiful space that I wouldn’t do anything to jazz it up. I would do a simple aisle but you could do that with how you place the seating or a red carpet which would look realy luxurious in that space.

what a gorgeous venue. i really wouldn’t do too much to it.  maybe light up the aisle with lanterns or tall cylinder vases, some flowers or pomanders.

is it going to be daytime or night time?  how many guests are attending?  chairs will take up a lot of space.  is this just the ceremony spot?
