Maybe some kind of chair?

ETA: I re-read your post and you already mentioned a chair, we are on the same page, that is what I would look for.

Or, what about ditching the mirror on the dresser and putting a full-length mirror there? Then you could hang some cool art above the dresser and maybe add a plant or something to full in any extra space.

The chair is a good idea too, though. Just trying to suggest options.

I think it needs height. Maybe a tall vase with some swirly twigs. I think the chair will get in the way of the door.

I would put a comfy chair there.  It’s nice to have a place in your bedroom, other than you bed, where you can read a good book or put on your heels.

I agree with the comfy chair assessment. We did this recently in our bedroom. We saw some cute comfy chairs on clearance at the furniture store and snapped them up. Put one up stairs in the bedroom with a cute little pillow with an ampersand and a green throw to match the rest of our room and one in the living room with an ottoman.

The suggestion about a floor vase isn’t bad either though! If a chair makes it look too cluttered. A nice tall one and you can put curly willows in it or tall birch branches. We actually did that in another corner of our bedroom. I would take a chair from somewhere else in the house and put it in the corner and see if it looks too cluttered. If it does, get a vase!

What about a ficus tree or something similar to add some color?

defintely do a chair.

i found an old (1920) chair at an antique store a while ago for TEN DOLLARS! it is so awesome….I am sure you could find a great deal for something if you kept your eyes peeled. The TJ MAxx by my house also has cool chairs right now…maybe it does at the one by you too?

I also think that a tall, woven basket with a lid would be pretty (a hamper of sorts).

if you don’t want to use up space on the floor, a gallery of art and photos (ecclectic mix) would be really cool too.

I agree with the chair, but also like the idea of a full lenght mirror, opting for some art/pictures over the dresser.

I have to ask though – is it a trick of the camera, or do you have under-bed lighting?!

I think a chevall mirror jewelry armoire would be perfect in that corner. You would have a full length mirror, and open it up and you can store all your jewelry. I’ve been wanting one myself for ages.

I say vintage chair and some kind of statue/tall vase to add some color or interest.
