Sigh. My cycles since January have averaged between 32 – 36 days with O 11 – 12 days before that. I am now on day 40 of this cycle; think I may have ovulated this past Saturday, so I would be 2 DPO. So frustrating. This is the month we started trying and all of a sudden my cycles go out of wack.
I know it’s really immature but…WAAAAHHH!!!

@lovelyrose: I completely sympathise. My first cycle off of BCP was the ideal cycle, I O’d at CD16 and my period came 12 days later. That was my February cycle. Then March, my cycle was 49 days, I didn’t O until CD36 and my cycle in May, I was 48 days, I think I o’d CD37 or CD38. I started taking vitex (tincture, and then pills) in early June. This cycle, I o’d on CD17 according to FF (I think it was CD20). So not sure if you see a naturopath, but the vitex seemed to help me out, perhaps something to discuss.

@awakemysoul: I just ordered Fermaprin. Is that the one you’re taking?

@lovelyrose: I used St. Francis Herb tincture, until that ran out and then moved on to Nature’s Way Vitex.

Sending a supportive hug. I suffered with rediculous long cycles before my BFP (my longest was 99 days…!!) and know how frustrating they are. Hopefully you O’d on the weekend and this cycle will have a happy ending for you!!

My longest cycle so far was 42 days and that stunk! I’ve heard of some women Ovulating on day #100 and still getting pregnant! The waiting stinks, but don’t worry!

@lovelyrose:
If it makes you feel any better, my cycles for the first 6 months off BC ranged between 22 and 90 days. The month I decided to start charting, I ovulated on CD 26 (DH and I focused our BD CD 9-15 but had one stray “just for fun” session on CD 23, so I thought we missed my window). Well, on CD 40, I realized that my temp wasn’t dropping at all, so I POAS for shits and giggles.
BFP! I am now 30 weeks pregnant.
So there’s definitely hope!!!

@lovelyrose: I’m sorry to hear that your cycle has gone crazy. Mine used to range anywhere from 35-50 days and that drove me up the walls without being ttc, I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be if we were trying then! I’m sure everything will even out for you soon! Good luck!

@ExcitedScaredBee: Yay! Congratulations on your little one! It’s nice to know that there is hope for those of us with uber long cycles.
This month I O’d on day 38 – POAS next week Thurs. Hopefully I’ll have exciting news to share then 🙂

I hope you get good news next Thursday! Just chiming in to say I feel your pain. My cycles are always, always 40+ days… I tend to ovulate anywhere between Day 30 and Day 40, with a 12-day LP. We’re not even TTC right now, but waiting on ovulation for NFP purposes is so annoying!
