I don’t have any advice, but I just wanted to say I hope it’s all okay and good luck!

I would presume if you O’d late that’s why you’d not be as far along, that makes a lot of sense. They don’t sound too worried, so try and stay calm, deep breaths, relax!

Since you O’d on CD20 instead of CD14 like the LMP method assumes, you are measuring at exactly where you should be :). You’re alright.

@mrscandyv:  That depends. Is this an ultrasound that they scheduled because of the pain or was it already scheduled?

I don’t think I will personally be doing a dating ultrasound because I know my date of O because of charting. However, if they want to do a dating ultrasound because they suspect that the baby has stopped growing based on my O date then I would get the ultrasound. It’s definitely up to you though. Since you had that pain it might be a reasonable idea to have the ultrasound done but be aware that you should be measuring about a week behind your LMP measurements and that it does not mean that anything is wrong if that’s how they date you.

at my dating ultlrasound i found out I was a week behind… because we were not TTC, the only thing i knew about was my LMP so they dated me from that at 12/14 before I got my ultrasound. At my ultrasound then we thought i was 7w3d and turned out i was only 6w3d. Which totally makes sense now after reading so much about it. I wish they would have told me my date would probably change. Anyways now I’m due 12/21. I personally would wait to have your ultrasound because you’re not going to see much on the screen and i think you might not even be able to see the HB that young. I think it would be more worth while for you to wait til after 6 weeks. you should then be able to see the sac and a little ball of white fuzz thats your baby, and we were able to SEE the HB not hear yet… and thats normal. Good Luck!

I think it was a good idea to rescedule your u/s. You’ll see a lot more having the scan at 7 weeks than 5 weeks.
