I’m in the middle of a DIY project – I am trying to make these table number signs –
But I’m not sure whether to make the stakes silver, gold, or black. What do you think??
Here’s the silver stakes I’ve made so far:
And if it helps, I’ll have pink and ivory flowers with lots of green and brown filler in small vases, on top of a burlap runner, and table with white tablecloth. Napkins are light pink. I have a lot of other gold accents – e.g. gold-framed chalkboards – but not sure if they look better in silver. Help!

How about using something dark green, so it looks like a stem?

I think a matte silver color would look best, based on the info you provided. The 2nd picture you posted looks perfect.
BUT, don’t stress too much about it because most guests will not notice if they are black/silver/gold/white/whatever. It’s a small detail that, in the grand scheme of things, is rather inconsequential.

I like the color in the first picture that matches the text- so black. It looks less busy that way

here’s a curveball for you… how about wood??

Add filler to the vases and no one will see the stakes. Quite honestly I don’t think many ppl will notice the color of the stakes anyway!

I agree Wood stakes would look amazing!! 🙂 🙂

Dark brown would look nice with pink and ivory.

I would keep them wood colored or green like the flower stems… my second choice would be gold

I think they’re fine the way they are! No one is going to notice- especially if you paint a metallic rod a silver color.

I like them in silver. Its very trendy right now to mix metals anyway, and I’m sure that this isn’t something anyone will really notice. Cute project by the way!!

I’m jumping on the wood/darkbrown/green bandwagon
