@ccfwwedding: Maybe consider going to a wholesale outlet and buying a bunch of loose flowers and having the girls make their own bouquets. A friend of mine did that and we really enjoyed making them!!!

Clutches, fans, parisols, small lanterns, candles. It really depends on your theme, I guess. I saw a pic once where bridesmaids carried vintage suitcases. It was super cute!

I’ve seen people reduce their floral costs by simply having smaller bouquets n less expensive flowers maybe you could talk to the florist and ask what they can do for you

Same club is the cheapest I’ve found so far for flowers if you want to DIY. Baby’s breath bouquets/other inexpensive flowers may help. Feather bouquets are also pretty cool. I love them idea of parasols and the non traditional ‘bouquets’. What’s your theme/colors?

IF NOT Flowers… then a lot will depend upon your theme.

Because to make it really interesting, then the two ideas should tie in together.

Lanterns, Candles, Potted Plants, Sea Shells

The list really is limitless

For inspiration you might try using GOOGLE… just type in – Bridesmaids Carrying – to GOOGLE IMAGES and you’ll get to see a wide variety of pictures / ideas

I just did that and have to say I am now in LOVE with several that I saw…

Hope this helps,

This pic shows birdcages that bridesmaids carried in a wedding on another un-named wedding site

They wouldnt have to be so filled with flowers. You could use silk flowers or just some moss and some silk flowers.

Heres another

TO @julies1949: you said,

… “on another un-named wedding site”

So tongue in cheek… absolutely hysterical. Thanks for my chuckle of the day !!

I’m doing mini versions of my big brooch bouquet for the bridesmaids. There’s will have “real touch” hydragea’s for filler.

@Kimy: We are wedding date twins!

Also I agree with a PP on going wholesale.

Why not have each bridesmaid carry one single ivory rose?
