Joe Mama’s on Forbes in Oakland serves yummy Italian food, and they offer banquet/family style dining for large parties: http://www.joemamas.com/banquets.htm

My favorite place to eat in Oakland is still LuLu’s Noodles on South Craig St!  I’ve been obsessed since high school.  Not sure if they accommodate groups, but I can’t comment on Oakland dining without bringing it up 😉

i was going to suggest Joe Mama’s too! I also think you can reserve the bottom level of Fuel and Fuddle if you want a cooler, microbrews and wood-fired pizza vibe… good luck!

We’re having ours at Sushi Too in Shadyside. They have a room upstairs with traditional Japanese-style seating, and they’re fairly affordable. My fiance’s friends had their rehearsal dinner there a couple of years ago, and it went really well. Our group size is right around 25 people, so similar to yours.
