I love the first name Greer for a girl.

Grace is one of my favourite names so classic. It does not go well with my husband’s surname though which is a shame!

I love Gail/Gayle and think it sounds nice with Gloria!

Why do you want double-Gs?

How about:

– Gwenda

– Georgie

I also agree with PP to just use the name you love already, Gloria.

nycoleman :  My son’s name is Andrew James and I didn’t really like AJ and thought people would call him that, and no one has ever called him that (hes 3).

I wouldn’t worry too much, my son goes by his full name (Andrew) because I don’t like AJ, Andy or Drew (Drew is ok). If someone asks if he goes by something else, I just tell them no, his name is Andrew. I have never had anyone give him a nickname!

Knew two girls in high school with hard g names I haven’t seen here yet.

Graelyn, which you could spell so many different ways.

Gregaria, who actually went by Gigi. Her name always reminded me of the word gregarious, which she certainly was.

If you want modern, GiGi has a modern sound to me.

Try Gillian with a G or

Grace could be spruced up to Gracelyn
