Good morning bee’s!!
Here’s my dilemma.. I’m getting married next year on new years eve at 7pm
Because it’s an evening wedding we are not having a traditional sit down dinner. We are hiring a cater & having classy appetizers & a light buffet put out near end of evening. Event is going to be black tie & elegant.
So what do I do? Is a head able weird? I think it will be weird. Any suggestions?
Also we are getting married in a restored old theatre.

If you are going to have tables for your guests to sit at I would at least have a sweetheart table. That way you and your hubby have a place to sit while speaches are being done. If you are doing so. I full head table may not be necessary though.

I would not. It sounds like you’re going to have a more cocktail style reception, so people will probably not be seated at the same time anyway.
I don’t think it would necessarily be weird to have one, because it is a wedding and people will not think much of there being a head table. I just don’t think you need it.
We had a more traditional reception, and I didn’t have a head table. I’m not a fan of them in general.

Thanks!! Yes, more cocktail but we still have a wedding party of 10 with us so where do I put them?? & while doing more a cocktail I don’t want to lose our wedding either..
Whats a sweetheart table? I like the sound of it. : ).

A sweetheart table is a table just for you and your husband.
I put my bridal party in with the other guests. 3 of my BM’s had kids there, so they appreciated sitting with them and their husbands. Otherwise, the rest were with their SO’s or their families/friends. Darling Husband and I were supposed to be with our families too, but we never actually sat down to eat. LOL! Please make sure you eat at your wedding! It’s the one thing I would do differently. 🙂
