@gloriela86:  Both awesome ideas.  I’ve been to Ocho Rios though and you can’t regret a visit there!  It depends on your final budget as well!

Costa Rica is awesome.. I stayed at the Double Tree in Punta Renas (spelling is defintiely wrong), it was all inclusive and really affordable.. through the hotel, I was able to set up zip lining, horse back riding, going to feed wild monkeys, going to a wild life park, and tons of other htings I didn’t do.. Think about that, maybe!

@gloriela86: oooh  honestly i don’t recall.  It was about 5 years ago, but it wasn’t all inclusive.  As a frequent traveler to the islands I would ALWAYS recommend All inclusive resorts over regular visits!  Wayyyyyyyyyyy cheaper in the end!

I think a cruise would be perfect. YOu get to meet other couples, you get excursions on shore, you get a casino/bars on the ship, you can pick a beach day. Seems to be the perfect fit for what you are looking for.

Aruba would fit the bill perfectly for you.  In addition to the “usual” island activities of snorkeling, scuba diving, etc., they also have casinos & high-end shops (think Rolex, Cartier, Ralph Lauren, etc.) throughout the island.  While there are some all-inclusive properties, Aruba is actually a destination that is easily accessed via public transportation or taxis.  In fact, that’s so common that the majority of properties are not all-inclusive.  Rather, there is a “dine around” plan that can be purchased where you have vouchers for meals at various restaurants throughout the island.  (I think the island’s only about 8 miles by 19 miles or so, just to give you an idea of how close everything is!)  The island is extremely clean & safe and the people are some of the kindest & most well-educated that I’ve ever met.
