They both look nice… I really like the lip colour it goes very well with your skin tone.. If you are worried its to dark I would try using a brown liner. I like your engagement shoot make up but feel for a wedding you need more mascara or a few lash inserts to make more of a statement! But you look lovely in both!!

@FoolsintheRain:  As hard as it is for us natural beauties, I would err on the side of more makeup for the wedding, since pro photos can really wash you out. I don’t think the top picture looks harsh or anything. I agree with the PP that false lashes could be a good idea as well.

I really like the lip color in the top photo. I think you can still look pretty and natural with heavier makeup since you’ll be taking lots of photos.

I cant see the “goop” youre talking about. Both pictures look nice but the engagement pics look more natural. You have to remember that when you do “professional” makeup, its usually always more make up than you typically wear yourself on a day to day basis.

My favorite eye shadows that dont get ‘goopy” lol, are urban decay, smashbox and almay.

Instead of black liner on the bottom, you can use the dark brown shadow that you do smokey eye with as your under lid liner. Thats what I usually do because its a softer look. ๐Ÿ™‚

I think you look beautiful in both pictures! As far as your trial in the first one, I personally don’t think it looks heavy at all, but I typically wear more makeup on a daily basis than most women. If anything, I think a little more eyeshadow would really make your eyes pop, especially in photos. You should also remember too, that makeup always looks like it’s less in photos than in real life, so I don’t think a little more would be bad for photo purposes. But even if you keep it exactly as is, you look great ๐Ÿ™‚ I wouldn’t take anything away.

Makeup for photos needs to be heavier to stand out. You don’t look like you’re wearing any makeup in your e-photos. It doesn’t look like you’re wearing much at all in the trial photo, either (it looks like every day makeup to me). I would actually ask her to go heavier, but with brown shades. Brown looks gorgeous with blue eyes. You may want to throw on some false lashes, too. I love the lip color.

I’d personally do the makeup look you did in your engagement shoot with false lashes or something, just to make it look a little more dramatic. Other than that, I LOVE the lip color, your skin looks fantastic, etc.

I know it’s harder to feel more natural when you normally don’t wear heavier makeup daily, but I promise you will want a a little more of everything so your features stand out in your photos. ๐Ÿ™‚ this doesn’t mean to have her do yours cakey… but you’ll want to brighten your face and enhance your natural beauTy. A good makeup artist knows how to do this. which is more definition from blush, bronzer, lashes, eyeliner, and lips. Trust me! ๐Ÿ™‚

@FoolsintheRain:  Unfortunately, most MUAs cake on mascara with the wand perpendicular to your lashes, rather than using it like it’s supposed to be used. It’s gross. I think having her move the blush onto the apples of your cheeks (I’ve said this a million times before, but I do not understand why MUAs don’t put your blush where you naturally blush!), as well as more eyeshadows in browns would look fantastic.

I love the lips but you need more eye definition and more blush

Browns look great on blue eyes! Maybe something like this which I think would look great making your eyes stand out! Also adding some lashes!

@FoolsintheRain:  No, that’s what they all do, and it’s annoying as F&*(. It’s like they put it in the hollows of your cheeks and on the sides of eveyone’s faces, which actually pulls the face down. Blush belongs on the apples of your cheeks and cheekbones! I would probably just do the mascara myself in 2-3 coats (let them dry between each), though your MUA will probably be confused.

I like your make up much better than the MUAs. I agree dark brown liner and mascara would be better. And put a little more blush on. I love your engagement photo.
