  • Wedding: May 2012

We are taking a less formal approach to the wedding as I feel like most weddings the guests sit forever.  And that is bor-ing.

  • Guests seated
  • Introductions
  • Bride and Groom Welcome Speech – I feel this is really important because when will you have everyone looking at you again?  People will leave, etc so thank them now!
  • First dance
  • All guests up to dance – upbeat dance set – This sets the tone that we are here to party!  Let’s the guests know we want them dancing. :0
  • Guests seated
  • Parents Toast
  • Begin Station Meal
  • After about 30 minutes  – Best Men/Matron of Honor Toasts
  • More eating
  • Mother/Son dance, I will dance with my mom at the same time, and than in the same song Fiance and I will dance with my daughter, cause honestly who wants to sit through 3 slow songs?
  • Cake cutting i.e. sweet table is open!
  • Dancing, dancing, dancing!

Hope that helps!  Again, I am not a typical bride with a typical wedding.  I hate sitting through 6 speeches than 6 slow dances in the same chair.  Makes me want to poke my eyes out!
