Both of FI’s Jettas have been fully loaded.  He had absolutely no complains.  They are introducing a new Passat in 2012 that is supposed to be really nice.

New Muranos start below $30k btw.

The new Hyundai Sonata gets about 40 MPG so I have seen. My dad has a new honda civic and hes a mechanic and car fanatic- so it must be good lol! I recommend Ford, just because Ive had 2 and have never had a problem with them. Ive hardly had any maintenence on my 2004 Mustang since I got it.

I have a 2011 Toyota Camry and I love it! I leased it for $259/month. It’s super roomy (a lot more than you would think – the trunk is huge and the leg room is great!) Super reliable, not expensive to repair (if you ever even have to!), great on gas, and it’s pretty darn cute!

@Heatherloveskenny: The Juke’s creep me out! Their headlights look like some sort of reptilian eyes! I’m weird like that though, I think a lot of cars look like animals. The 90’s Chevy Beretta’s look like rats to me when they have a front plate!

Though I have never driven one, people who have love the Chevy Volt!  Fiance and I work in Chevy dealership so we are partial to Groomsmen vehicles anyhow.  The Volt is a one of kind electric car – it charges its own battery as it drives, though still plug it in overnight.  I know they are hard to get – you would have to order one – we get them in and they are sold and delivered within 2 days of dropping of the truck.  For a smaller sedan – go for the Cruze or Malibu – both fun cars! (and go at the end of the month – specifically tomorrow – dealers are pushing to make thier numbers for the month as well as the end of the 2nd quarter so some are more willing to make better deals).

I had an accident in Feb and totalled my Volvo s40. I cried for a week. I didn’t think I’d ever find something I loved as much as Volvo (drove only volvo for nearly 10 years). However, I test drove a Jetta and it was a match made in heaven! I bought just the simple entry level 2011 jetta and it is great! HUGE trunk space and the backseat is pretty big too, although it is not the world’s biggest car. I got a really good deal on it, too, since they have a college grad program (VW does) that gives you a deal if you graduated less than 24 months ago from a college program.

However, also on my list to look at (but didn’t because I loved the Jetta so much) was Subaru and Hyundai. I wanted an electric, but since they are so new, I figured I’d wait until my next car to get one, that way they are on the road for a while before I commit to one…just to make sure they are not problem ridden…

Good luck! I personally hated car searching, haha! Let us know what you get!

@Heatherloveskenny: For all the issues Toyota has had in the last couple years, they do last. Same for Hondas. My sis just had to “put down” her Civic, she had that thing for over 15 years. I would caution against Hyundais if longevity is what you’re after (I know they’re not on your list but just in case).
