I work out about an hour to an hour and a half six days a week.  I worked up to this of course.  I do a three day weight training plan followed by 30 minutes cardio, and the other days are circuit or cardio.  I can send you my weight training guide if you like, maybe you might be interested in it.  It’s a lot of dumbbell work in case you can’t get to a gym.  You can modify it to fit your schedule.  I commute an hour each way to work, so I take my gym clothes and change before I leave and hit the gym before I get home and get lazy.

@limegreenbride:  I do the same thing :). When I intially started doing it, and sticking to my entire routine with my diet the way I should, I lost 30 lb in 4 months or so bringing me back to the weight I was before I got with my Fiance and he started feeding me love food : /. Luckily I’m 5’10” so 30 lb isn’t too obvious, but I was so freaking unhappy with my body. Conniving SOB trying to fatten me up so no one can snatch me away, I tell ya…;).

Do something that actually interests you. It’ll make you want to do it. I LOVE horseback riding, so as soon as I’ve recovered enough I’m going to start doing it again. Then so that I’m in good enough shape to possibly get into competition, on days when I’m not riding, I’m going to do some workouts that will help build the muscles I need to ride better!

If you are short on time, I can’t say enough about doing DVDs at home.  I can get in a killer workout in just the time it would take me to get to the gym and back.  I’ve been working out consistently (at home) for over a year now — usually 5 days a week for half an hour to an hour.  It’s just so mush easier for me to fit it in, and you feel so good when you are done.  It’s way cheaper than a gym membership, too.

I love Jillian Michaels, yoga, circuit training, high intensity intervals stuff.  It helps to keep it mixed up, and all of these tone you incredibly well.

I dunno if anyone else mentioned it but do you have access to a pool?  Swimming has always been nice for keeping me back on track!
