I’m also off the wagon. I’ve lost 38 pounds since the start of the year but the last week or two I’ve been stuck in a total plateau/rut/angst hole. We just need someone to drive the wagon by all of our houses and scoop us up and strap us on so we don’t fall off again!

@langloiswedding2013:  You should look into the paleo or primal diet. I have been doing that for the past three years. Initially, I lost 20 lbs easily (my goal was to lose only 15). The diet is not as restrictive as a lot for others. And as an added bonus, you will have so much more energy due to the high protein and high good fats. Avoiding gluten will help sooooo much!

You can totally do this! My weakness is desserts (any and all desserts!) and I find I really overeat when I try to deprive myself of them. So, I eat healthy and allow myself a small (or medium!) dessert at the end of the day. It gives me something to look forward to (I know- I’m obsessed with dessert!) and keeps me on track. Depriving myself of dessert for a couple days then gorging on them wasn’t working, so this way it’s a little everyday in moderation. Good luck!

@langloiswedding2013:  Wedding date twins and same situation!! I really need to lose 20lbs, it’s totally do-able I just don’t have the drive to do it. I’ve got a buddy who I’ve been going to the gym with and doing strength+cardio. Our goal is to go at least 5x a week, maybe you should get a buddy?

@langloiswedding2013:  Just change it up a bit. Your body has gotten used to it. The best thing to do is trick it. Change up the amounts of calories you take in. I personally think it’s always better to watch how much you are eating rather than what you are eating. I think you can do it. Oh, and you can bbq just about anything. Skip the bun, have chicken (can you have chicken on Atkins?). Have grilled veggies in italian dressing (yum) mixed together in a foil. It’s also okay to have a cheat day :). Depriving yourself means you will absolutely gorge and more likely than not gain all the weight back and then some when you go off the diet. It should be a lifestyle change, not a diet.
