I’ve been so torn on pocketfolds vs. inner envelopes. I like the look of pocketfolds, but I felt we needed the inner envelope to list who is invited (no children-except family). I had settled on inner envelopes in a different color-but I would have to order all of my envelopes through a vendor other than my printer for them to match. This will cost just as much as the pocketfolds.
So which should I do? We specified on our website that it’s an adults only reception. If you pick pocketfold-how do I address the few that children are allowed? John, Jane, & Emily Smith?
Our invites are ivory with gray/pink printing (our three colors)

If the children are allowed for some, on those invites on the OUTER envelope, I would simply address it as The Blank Family. All other addresses can be Mr. and Mrs. So and So. I’d definitely go with the pocketfolds, since they’ll be the same cost as the inner envelopes, anyway. I wouldn’t try to put names on the actual pocketfolds, though, as I think it looks pretty messy, unless you tie them up with ribbon, and add some sort of tag that has the invitees names on them.

I agree with PP. I wouldn’t put names on the pocketfolds nor the inner envelope, just outter. Guests will have the outer envelope as well as the website to see that only specific children are allowed, and if you see that they rsvp with more than you expected just shoot them a friendly little email or phone call
