I would have to see a mock up, but yes it is doable.

300 invitations!?  OMG, how big is your wedding if you don’t mind me asking?

It sounds like this should work great. As long as all the paper is cut evenly and you use a glue that doesn’t bubble for back the invite, they should look great!

With 300 invitations it will be a bit of work, but just get a group together and make an assembly line!

@Evie19: I’m planning on doing this myself too but more on the cardstock pocketfold type thingie. I’ve seen it done and it doesn’t look unprofessional.

How are they coming?

I make ours, with wax seals and all and it took forever. Great idea to get friends over to help.

It sounds nice.  But what purpose does the vellum paper serve? Just wondering.

Also, check out cardsandpockets for reasonable cardstock and pocketfolds. It might give you some ideas.

Oh, wow, sorry. I didn’t realize this thread was 3 mo old!

But your invites sound cool, so I hope you post some pictures when you start on them.

@Evie19: keep in mind you won’t need 300 individual invitations, as some of your people are couples/ families and will only need 1 invite per household. You’ll probably only need around 100-150 which will surely cut down on your DIY time!
