Oh girl I know exactly how you feel.  When my husband and I moved last year, I didn’t have a job or friends and it was horrible.  Is there any way that you can volunteer to keep your skills up until you can find a new job in your field?  Good luck finding something!

I know the feeling. Are there any organizations in your city that you would like to volunteer for? It’s not a paycheck, but gets you out of the house, you’re busy and meeting new people. Or maybe taking some classes at a community college?

So sorry to hear that you are going through this. I know small towns can be hard at first, but surely things will get better. Have you contemplated volunteering in the interim while you are unemployed? There must be a hospital, soup kitchen, school, senior center or someplace else nearby that would appreciate your help and it would be a great way to meet new people.

Good luck & best wishes to you! Oh, and reach out to friends & family for support via telephone. It’s not the same as face0-to-face, but it might help.

Why did you move there in the first place?
